Assisting by Any Means Possible

ʿAllāmah Nawawī رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ has established the chapter title: “Fulfilling the Muslim’s Needs”. Meaning, one should be of service, in any way possible, to the Muslims when a need arises. Whether it is with one’s wealth, life or through one’s status and position. Whether it is by interceding on his behalf.

One must assist him in any way which can fulfil his needs, with one’s tongue, with one’s hands, to the extent that if one can assist him through duʿāʾ then one should assist him through it.

Upon reading the biographies of our akābir, we learn that these righteous personalities would not withhold any type of effort which was possible in fulfilling the people’s needs to the extent that that if they are unable to do anything, they supplicate to Allāh as a last resort. There is also a tremendous promise for this. Rather, it is the biggest door towards the fulfilment of needs.
